My final year Research and Development project explored the untraditional inspiration of the Lake District. I took inspiration from the small urban areas, the unpredictable weather and the 'rough' side to exploration, such as muddy tracks and overgrown tree roots.
I used a range of unorthodox finishing methods to explore how the material could be manipulated. This included starch, sonic welding and mud later leading onto a Calcium Alginate solution and Agar composite.
